Youth Programs Dedicated to improving youth efficacy through gainful employment:
It is difficult to ask today's youth to be attentive to their education and future career when they are faced with the stresses of financial hardship, low available parental supervision, family responsibility and peer pressure. The Board of Director's of AFACT has found an effective solution that offers youth; the opportunity to gain job skills, to stay out of the streets and to earn an income for an "Honest Day's Work" in the California Bay Area.
The System Masters is a respected Bay Area SLEB vendor offering employment to trouble youth through collaboration with various Youth Organizatons throughout the Bay Area.

This Youth program was created by AFACT Artistsic Director, Jessica Holter in 2008. It is supported in California by actress, singer/songwriter Keniece Ford and by Audrey Harlan in Charlotte north Carolina.
COV runs for 8 weeks, during the summer and accepts youth 12 to 17 year-old, who have an interest in public speaking, a gift for story telling and wish to enhance their communication skills. Participants are introduced to the art of oratory through a simple book of folklore and poetry, trained in public delivery of selected pieces and invited to not only to participate in an exhibition of their speech, but are also called upon to participate in marketing campaigns to promote community participation, development of director's script and technical theater production including lights and sound engineering. Participants are introduced to graphic design, Advertising & Marketing and Theater in this comprehensive summer program that rewards all participants with a scholarship and a trophy to take home.
Only 12 Youth are accepted annually.
